SITE DEVELOPMENT – ATHLETIC FIELDS

OLATHE SOCCER COMPLEX/GARMIN SOCCER COMPLEX

The Olathe Soccer Complex is a privately built facility that includes:

  • Nine “all-weather” artificial turf soccer fields, including a championship field.
  • Project included 17 Commercial and retail buildings containing 250,000 sf.
  • This project included moving 450,000 cubic yards of soil and rock.

Payne & Brockway’s role in the project included Site Planning, Topographic & Boundary Survey, Final Plat Services, Easements, Preliminary Development Plans, Stormwater Management Plans, Final Development Plans, Stormwater Management Report, Existing Conditions and Demolition Plan, Final Site Plan & Dimension Plan, Final Grading Plans, Erosion & Sediment Control Plan, SWPPP & NPDES Application, Site Storm Drainage Plans, Site Stormwater Quality Plans, Site Utility Plan, Sanitary Sewer Main Plans, Water Main Plans, Sewer Connection Plans, Enlarged Area Elevations, ADA Route and Detail Plans, Construction Phase Services, including construction staking and an as-built ALTA Survey.

 

COLLEGE BOULEVARD ACTIVITY CENTER (CBAC)

CBAC, also known as College Boulevard Activity Center, is owned and operated by the Olathe School District.

This project included the removal of a high school soccer field with spectator section and replacing it with 12 high school tennis courts.  Also included in the project was the conversion of the Football stadium playing surface from natural grass to turf grass.

Payne & Brockway’s role in the project included Site Planning, Topographic & Boundary Survey,  Conceptual Grading Plans,  Stormwater Management Plans, Final Development Plans, Stormwater Management Report, Existing Conditions and Demolition Plan, Final Site Plan & Dimension Plan, Final Grading Plans, Erosion & Sediment Control Plan, SWPPP & NPDES Application, Site Storm Drainage Plans, Site Stormwater Quality Plans, Site Utility Plan, Specifications Construction Phase Services, including construction staking.

OLATHE DISTRICT ACTIVITY CENTER (ODAC)

ODAC, also known as Olathe District Activity Center, is owned and operated by the Olathe School District.

  • Parking for 6,000+ cars and lights for all fields/court
  • One full size turf NAIA level football field– holds up to 6,500 spectators
  • One full size turf NAIA level soccer field– holds up to 3,500 spectators
  • Two high school level baseball fields with turf infield and 390 feet center field walls – holds up to 500 spectators
  • Two high school level fully turf softball fields and 220 feet to center field walls – holds up to 250 spectators
  • Eight lane synthetic surface track with field amenities – holds up to 6,500 spectators
  • Field amenities include – hurdles, steeplechase, throwing cage & field, long jump, high jump, and javelin throw

MIRACLE LEAGUE OF OLATHE

The Miracle League of Olathe provides the opportunity to play baseball to children ages 6 to 17 with intellectual or physical challenges. A specially designed rubber turf allows assistive devices to move with ease.

The Miracle League Field is located at the College Boulevard Activity Center at 11031 S Valley Road, Olathe, KS  66061.

P&B’s role in the project included Topographic Survey, Storm Sewer Plans, Application for KDHE NPDES Permit, SWPPP, Erosion Control Plans, Contract Specifications and Construction Administration.
