PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Payne & Brockway was under contract for design services with HMN Architects to design the Comprehensive Cancer Center as part of the Olathe Medical Center Campus. The facility is located at 15123 S. OMC Parkway. Olathe, Kansas.

Payne & Brockway’s involvement in the project included the conceptual layout of the site, Re-Zoning, Preliminary and Final Development Plans, Final Plat, site grading, site utilities, parking lots, sanitary sewer, public water lines, storm sewer, water quality, stormwater detention and assistance in construction administration. The building contains 29,241 sq. ft. and the property is 12.6 acres. The site was laid out to meet the parking capacity and maneuverability requirements set by the City of Olathe and the client. Water Quality systems were used on this site to comply with City of Olathe requirements.

 

Payne & Brockway was under contract for design services with Olathe Medical Services, Inc. to design the Clinic.  The facility is located at 2090 W. Dartmouth Street. Olathe, Kansas. 

Payne & Brockway’s involvement in the project included the conceptual layout of the site, Re-Zoning, Preliminary and Final Development Plans, Final Plat, site grading, site utilities, parking lots, sanitary sewer, public water lines, storm sewer, water quality, stormwater detention and assistance in construction administration.  The building contains 9,348 sq. ft. and the property is 2.2 acres.    The site was laid out to meet the parking capacity and maneuverability requirements set by the City of Olathe and the client.  Water Quality systems were used on this site to comply with City of Olathe requirements.

OMC-OB/NICU is located on the Olathe Medical Campus South of 151st Street.

Payne & Brockway’s involvement in the project included the conceptual layout of the site, development plan, site grading, site utilities, parking lot design, storm sewer design, public water line design, water quality design, detention basins and construction administration. 

This project included the construction of new turn lanes on 151st Street that included plan preparation and meetings, as needed, to develop construction documents that were used for bidding and construction of the turn lanes.  The plans preparation included adding a second left turn lane on west bound 151st Street and a right turn lane on east bound 151st Street. Work included a traffic signal modification, storm sewer realignment, utility relocation, and sidewalk realignment as required to construct the new turn lanes.

The Johnson County Community College Health Education Center is located at 21201 W 152nd Street.  

Payne & Brockway’s involvement in the project included the conceptual layout of the site, rezoning the property, final plat, development plan, site grading, site utilities, parking lot design, storm sewer design, water quality design, Leeds Certification and assistance in construction administration.  The building is 28,581 sq. ft. in size and the property is 5.84 acres.  The site was laid out to meet the parking capacity requirements and maneuverability requirements set by the City of Olathe while meeting the open space and parking capacity requirements set by USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council) for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) credit.  The JCCC Health Education Center is part of the 152nd Street Benefit District which utilizes a Regional Water Quantity and Water Quality Basin that was also designed by Payne & Brockway with the Pavilion at Olathe Medical Center Campus.  Other Water Quality systems were used on this site to make it more environmentally friendly although it was not required for credit by USGBC or for approval by the City of Olathe since this site is part of the 152nd Street Benefit District.  Some other LEED credits that were obtained for this site through USGBC were Alternative Transportation – Public Transportation and Low-Emitting & Fuel-Efficient Vehicles and Community Connectivity.  The Stormwater Design – Quantity and Quality Control credit was met with the Regional Basin that was designed and constructed for the 152nd Street Benefit District.

The OMC Hospice House is a treatment facility on the Olathe Medical Center Campus located at 151st Street and Lone Elm Road in Olathe, Kansas.

Payne & Brockway’s involvement in the project included the conceptual layout of the site, rezoning the property, final plat, development plan, site grading, site utilities, parking lot design, storm sewer design, water quality design, Leeds Certification and assistance in construction administration.

The OMC water quality features were designed in accordance with the MARC & APWA Manual of Best Management Practices for Stormwater, April 2007 draft (MARC BMP Manual).  The treatment area is 2.6 acres.  The facility includes an extended wet detention basin, native vegetation lined swales and a sediment storage trap to filter runoff from an existing storm sewer system.

P&B involvement included Development Plans, Storm Sewer Plans, Existing Conditions, Site Plan, Dimension Plan, Grading Plans, NPDES Application, preparation of the SWPPP, Site Storm Sewer Plans, Sanitary Sewer Main Extension Plans, Site Utility Plan, Storm Detention Study, County and State Permit Assistance, Construction Administration, Construction Staking and Construction Observation (Inspection).
